Daniel Martinez de Rioja Del Nido

Researcher

Daniel Martínez de Rioja was born in Madrid, Spain. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Telecommunication Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Madrid, in 2016 and 2018, respectively. 

Since 2018, he has been a Research Assistant with the Applied Electromagnetics Group, UPM, after receiving a pre-doctoral fellowship from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation to conduct his PhD thesis under the supervision of Professor José Antonio Encinar. His current research interests include the design of dual frequency, dual-polarization, and multibeam reflectarray antennas for satellite applications in Ka-band. 

Daniel Martinez de Rioja was a recipient of the 2019 National Awards of the Spanish Official College of Telecommunication Engineers to the Best Master Thesis in the category of New Technologies for Communication Satellites.
